Experimental studies of of complementary classical and quantum convective heat flows and turbulence are proposed with the emphasis of their interplay with rotation. Two rotating platforms will be designed and built, one of them to allow experimental investigation of highly turbulent Rayleigh-Benard convection under rotation, with the emhasis to determine the influence of non-Oberbeck-Boussinesq effects.

The aim of the current project is to prepare (by industrial research and experimental development) an integrated telemedical solution for selected patient groups suffering from chronic diseases. This solution will enable the early detection, application of personalized therapies including monitoring of patients in their natural environment with the support of adherence to the proposed therapies.

The main goal of the proposed project is to build an autonomous software tool to diagnose both benignant and malignant cardiologic diseases. The proposed project is based on advanced methods of artificial intelligence; it will allow timely and affordable diagnosis for wide spectra of customers. Therefore, the implementation of the proposed project will enhance the attractivity and flexibility of MDT portfolio of products and services. This enhancement will improve MDT´s economic growth and boost its global competitiveness.

The main objective of the project “Utilization of laser and hybrid technologies in power facilities” is to develop and apply laser and hybrid technologies for power facilities within the collaborative research and development project. The outputs of the project are three laser and hybrid technologies (verified technologies) those will be used in production processes of small turbines by Siemens company. Particular deliverables of the project are also technical reports and WPQR/WPS according to prescribed standards.

The research and the development in the field of fiber optic diffractive structures with non-linear change of period and their use in realization of new optical measurement system for measurement of fast changes with frequency up to tens of kHz is the main objective of the project. The design of this system can be divided into three partial goals/parts. The design of diffractive structures with non-linear change of period as nonlinear fiber Bragg gratings (NFBG) and the design of the phase mask structures and their production technology are the first goal.
