Skupina Elektronových technologií se zabývá výzkumem moderních technologií zpracování (především) kovových materiálů a konstrukcí potřebných technologických zařízení. Mezi rozvíjené technologie patří zejména svařování elektronovým svazkem, vakuové pájení a vývoj a výroba vakuových a tlakových elektrických průchodek. Další odvozené technologie zahrnují např. obrábění elektronovým svazkem. Jsou prováděny experimenty s aditivními metodami a s lokálním tepelným zpracováním materiálů s využitím elektronového svazku. Experimentální zařízení je vyvíjeno v rámci skupiny včetně nezbytné elektroniky a softwaru. Zkušenosti s vývojem precizních vysokonapěťových zdrojů jsou využívány při konstrukci zdrojů pro elektronově-optická technologická zařízení i pro jiné obory.
