Raman spectroscopy-based mobile detection and identification solution for chemical pollutants and biological agents
Raman spectroscopy-based mobile detection and identification solution for chemical pollutants and biological agents
The aim of the project is to develop a complex system for detection and identification of substances of interest based on Raman spectroscopy in field conditions. The system will use existing commercially available mobile Raman instruments, which will be improved with newly developed advanced accessories to increase the sensitivity and selectivity of the analyses. The scope of the proposed project's agents of interest includes not only chemical pollutants from the categories of POPs (organochlorine pesticides, polybrominated flame retardants), PFAS (perfluoroalkyl chemicals), PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons), microplastics and pharmaceutical residues, but also selected biological agents indicative of environmental pollution, antibiotic resistant or posing a risk to inspection bodies.
