HandHeld LIBS
HandHeld LIBS
The main aim of the project is to develop a functional prototype of a portable Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope (LIBS) for analysis of biological samples. This will enable a rapid, precise and safe analysis of elements, without any need for sample extraction and their transport to a laboratory. Currently, there are devices designed (optimized) for metallurgical and geological samples, but not for biological ones. New methods of measurement and algorithms for the analysis (classification) of spectra need to be developed. During the next 3 years (project run), there will be a series of measurements in vitro and in vivo conducted based on which, we will develop, optimize and implement advanced algorithms for data processing and analysis as well as its interpretation to end-users.
