Improving the prevention and protection of security forces by early inspection of nuclear fuel defects

The project aims to increase radiation safety and preparedness during routine and emergency nuclear fuel inspections. The project is therefore focused on developing a compact laser system for remote detection of surface defects in fuel rods under high radiation conditions.
