Summer School on Vacuum Nanoelectronics 2025
From August 24–29, 2025, the third Bavarian-Czech-Polish Summer School focused on vacuum nanoelectronics took place in Wrocław. The event brought together students and researchers from three partner institutions – OTH Regensburg, ISI Brno, and WUST Wrocław – offering a rich program of lectures, seminars, and laboratory visits.
The third edition of the summer school was held during the last week of September 2025 at the Długa Campus of the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems, Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Following previous editions in Regensburg and Brno, this year’s meeting moved to Poland, completing the cycle among the three partner institutions.
The main organizer was Dr. Michał Krysztof, in collaboration with Prof. Rupert Schreiner from Germany and Assoc. Prof. Alexandr Knapek from the Czech Republic. The aim of the school was to share scientific results and identify common research themes.
A total of 28 participants attended the summer school, including 19 students and PhD candidates from the partner countries. The program featured expert lectures, workshops, lab excursions, and student presentations. Participants had the opportunity to present their research, engage in discussions, and receive valuable feedback.
The lectures covered topics such as emission structures on AFM platforms, miniature analytical devices, electron beam welding techniques, and the design of electron-optical systems. Attendees visited laboratories at both the Długa Campus and the Main Campus of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, including the atomic force microscopy lab at the Department of Nanometrology.
