Kamila Hrubanová from the ISI CAS elected President of the CSMS

Although she is still under 40, Kamila Hrubanová has already achieved numerous successes. Since 2023, she has been the head of the Central Laboratory of Electron Microscopy and Raman Spectroscopy at the ISI CAS in connection with the expansion of the Czech-BioImaging infrastructure to include electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy at ISI CAS.

She is the recipient of the Otto Wichterle Award for 2023.
She was part of the organizing team for the major microscopy congress, the 16th Multinational Congress on Microscopy in Brno (16MCM)
The winner of the Thermo Fisher Scientific/CSMS Young Scientist Award (2015 - 2016) and the recipient of the Best Contribution Award at the MC2013 conference in Regensburg, Germany.
Kamila Hrubanová was also involved in the preparation of the bid to host the prestigious international conference 18th European Microscopy Congress 2028  
(EMC2028), in the Brno region #brnoregion, which was presented in Copenhagen during EMC2024.
