Zobrazování pomocí magnetické rezonance pro úplné začátečníky

5.12.2024 od 14-17 hod a dále ve dnech 6.12.2024, 20.12.2024, 3.1.2025, 17.1.2025 a 7.2.2025, 21.2.2025 vždy od 14:35-16:05

V rámci kurzu Zobrazování pomocí magnetické rezonance pro úplné začátečníky bude vysvětlen princip sběru signálu a tvorby obrazu v systémech nukleární magnetické rezonance. Budou představeny základní akviziční sekvence ovlivňující výsledný kontrast v obraze a budou představeny vybrané metody zobrazování funkce tkáně pomocí magnetické rezonance, kde bude vysvětlen princip akvizice dat a také princip zpracování naměřených dat do podoby parametrů popisujících fyziologii tkáně. Součástí kurzu budou praktická měření na stroji s nejsilnějším magnetickým polem pro zobrazování v České republice, preklinickém MR skeneru Bruker 9,4T. Účastník tak pochopí teorii vybraných metod zobrazování a také prakticky tato zobrazování zrealizuje. Takto naměřená data v souladu s teoretickými poznatky zpracuje do podoby map parametrů popisujících fyziologii tkáně..

Practical Course on MRI Basics

March, April 2024

We invite you to a practical course on the fundamentals of MRI on the magnetic resonance system with strongest magnetic field used in the Czech Republic for imaging. A total of three lessons will take place on the preclinical MR scanner Bruker 9.4T. In each lesson, you will first acquire imaging data, experiment with various settings and observe their effects on the measured images. You will take the acquired data home and process them (according to your choice, e.g., in Matlab, Python,...) with the help of offered consultations and compare your results with the theoretical assumptions.
Lesson 1 - MRI Basics, SNR Measurement

Practical Part - March 22nd, 9-11 am

• Measurement of spin and gradient echo
• Phase and frequency encoding
• Influence of basic measurement parameters (TR, TE, slice thickness, averaging) on noise level
• Visual evaluation of the signal-to-noise ratio

Processing of measured data –consultation April 5th, 9-11 am (via Zoom)

• Loading of measured MRI data (DICOM format)
• Measurement of signal-to-noise ratio in images
• Comparison of the results with theoretical assumptions

Lesson 2 - Relaxation Times

Practical Part -April 12th, 9-11 am

• Contrast agents for MRI
• Measurement of contrast-agent samples using the multi-echo spin echo method
• Quantification of T2 in ParaVision7

Processing of measured data -consultation April 23rd, 9-11 am (via Zoom)

• Loading of measured MRI data (DICOM format)
• Calculation of T2 and subsequently r2 relaxivity of the contrast agent
• Comparison with theoretical assumptions

Lesson 3 - Diffusion Imaging

Practical Part - April 26th, 9-11 am

• DWI and DTI of a rat brain phantom
• Processing in ParaVision7

Processing of measured data - consultation April 30th, 9-11 am (via Zoom)

• Loading of measured MRI data (DICOM format)
• ADC map calculation
• Comparison with theoretical assumptions









HYBRID Workshop on
Application of ultra-high-field MRI in preclinical research

The workshop should allow the past and the potential users of the Czech-BioImaging ISI-MR Facility to meet each other and the supporting staff of the ISI CAS.
The workshop, which will be held in English, will be divided into two parts:
- Our current users/collaborators will present their applications of our UHF MR system and the ISI-MR service.
- The ISI-MR staff will explain the service/collaboration possibilities and the existing open-access policy, and demonstrate what data processing tools we implemented and can employ or provide to you.
